Home / Our Regions / Cape York / Regional Report 2017
Our vision is of a region with a sizeable Aboriginal population consisting of healthy and strong families who own their own homes, who have well educated children, who have jobs and participate equally in the economy, and who value their culture. Aboriginal leadership and responsibility will be the key to success in reaching this vision.
Our shared goal for development is the realisation of a community where people have good health, homes, jobs, and attitudes. Fundamental to achieving this vision will be working to reinforce and strengthen the five social norms that are the focus of the Empowered Communities model and taking responsibility for generational change as individuals and across our families and communities.
